Reg Hill's Copy of Stage
A unique item, unique because it used to belong to Supercar designer Reg Hill, this copy of The Stage and Television Today dated from 1962, was purchased from Christies London in 2002. It was part of a sale of Reg Hills personal effects, after his death in October 1999, strange to think he kept it for nearly forty years. As well as listing all the Supercar merchandise that was available, it also lists those companies who had licenced items, some of which didn't go into production, like the Marx Supercar shown earlier.
Pictured below left are master model builder Martin Bower together with the late great Reg Hill at a convention sometime ago. Martin is holding his model of Supercar more details of which are available from Martins own web site which is accessible from my "LINKS" page or by clicking here

The back page has a feature on a young Gerry Anderson and a large ad for Fireball XL5, that gives the studio address and in the bottom left corner is a copy of a letter to Gerry from Lew Grade, saying he's seen the the first XL5 screening and it's going to be bigger than Supercar !!!!!
